The understandings from Ezra 7:9 began in 2013; and following its discovery many other teachings developed and flourished. The doctrinal comprehension we have from this passage of scripture has helped in our appreciation of the 9/11 waymark. Within this piece we will take the time to understand the lessons of Ezra 7:9 and show the importance it sustains with the progression of this message. Inextricably linked to our prophetic use of the information found in Ezra 7:9 is our understanding of the waymarks Midnight and Midnight Cry and as this piece develops you will see why. Know though, that connected with this passage of scripture there has come some new understandings. Examples of these are: The first day of the first month, first day of the fifth month, Samuel Snow, the shaking, the blending and combining of the messages etc. These concepts won’t be covered here, they are only to serve as examples of how useful the Ezra 7:9 understanding has been to the growth of this message.

Ezra 7:9- For upon the first [day] of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him. At surface view this verse is without much value, however, when it’s truly examined there is seen a beauty that cannot be undervalued. The first note we will make is that this verse provides us with information relative to the third decree. Verse 1 tells us that this decree was given by Artaxerxes and saw Ezra leaving with it from Babylon, for Jerusalem, on the first day of the first month (1D1M). He is documented as arriving in Jerusalem on the first day of the fifth month (1D5M). The phrase “first day of the first month” is mentioned eight times in the Bible; while the phrase “first day of the fifth month” is mentioned only twice. A look at these passages of scripture will furnish us with needed understanding of these dates; we will, therefore, name the passages here, look at the information they give us and then apply those understandings to our interpretation of Ezra 7:9.
1D1M
Genesis 8:13- And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first [month], the first [day] of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
Exodus 40:2, 17- On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. 17. And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first [day] of the month, [that] the tabernacle was reared up
2 Chronicles 29:17-Now they began on the first [day] of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
Ezra 7:9- For upon the first [day] of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
Ezra 10:17- And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.
Ezekiel 29: 17- And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Ezekiel 45: 18- Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:
1D5M
Number 33:38- And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first [day] of the fifth month.
Ezra 7:9- For upon the first [day] of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first [day] of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.

From the scripture verses above I have taken the following points as needful for understanding the 1D1M and the 1D5M. The points are listed in the order the scriptures appear in.
i.The drying up of the earth from the waters of the flood. This typifies the drying up of the river Euphrates and is associated with the fall of Babylon. This fall of Babylon is also associated with the Second Angel’s message of Revelation 14 and 18.
ii.The tabernacle is reared up. Under what decree was the temple reared up? Was it not the second; and isn’t the second decree paralleled to the Second Angel’s message? Yes!
iii.Priests begin the eight days of sanctification
iv.Babylon is left. This action typifies the call out of Babylon made through the angel of Revelation 18.
v.Strange wives are put away.
vi.Ezekiel, a representative prophet, receives message relative to the King of the North and the King of the South as well as the Church Triumphant. To see this concept fully I recommend that verses 18-21 be read of Ezekiel 29.
vii.Cleansing of the Sanctuary
viii.Jerusalem is arrived at- The establishment of the Church Triumphant.
ix.Aaron or the structure dies

The first day of the first month is marked at 9/11 and one needs not deny this application. Is it not at 9/11 that Revelation 14: 8 and 18:1-3 are fulfilled? Is it not there that we have the preparatory period of the priests where they aim at attaining sanctification? And is it not with the period assigned as 9/11 that we receive the message of the KON and KOS and have more details applied to our understanding of the Church Triumphant? One cannot but answer in the affirmative for the questions just asked.

The first day of the fifth month is marked on our line as the Midnight Cry and standing between the waymarks of 9/11 and Midnight Cry is Midnight. These two waymarks are explained briefly in two articles that are to follow this one. At the Midnight Cry the death of the structure is expected; for by that time the Church Triumphant would have been established and the Church Militant passed by. Jerusalem being arrived at, while at this waymark, is a typification of the joint accomplishment made by the Priests and Levites in reaching the Promised Land or being sealed for access to the Heavenly Canaan.

“The decree of Artaxerxes Longimanus for the restoring and building of Jerusalem, the third issued since the close of the seventy years’ captivity, is remarkable for its expressions regarding the God of heaven, for its recognition of the attainments of Ezra, and for the liberality of the grants made to the remnant people of God.  Artaxerxes refers to Ezra as “the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of His statutes to Israel;” “a scribe of the law of the God of heaven.” The king united with his counselors in offering freely “unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem;” and in addition he made provision for meeting many heavy expenses by ordering that they be paid “out of the king’s treasure house.” Ezra 7: 11, 12, 15, 20.”  {PK 610.1}. This decree of Artaxerxes is what marked the commencement and end date of the prophecy of Daniel 8:14. It therefore means that an understanding of the 1D1M and the 1D5M was needful among the Millerites as well. This understanding was what led to the publications of Samuel S. Snow which is being typified today as the Prediction Before Midnight.

Ezra 7:9, in summary, sheds light on 9/11, MN, MC, 2300 days, 2520 and a host of other topics within this message. It is my hope that this brief introduction has helped you in seeing how this is so.
