The Bible describes faith as an acceptance of something future. It tells of a belief in matters yet to be experienced. It, faith, is a prophetic belief. It is predicated on realities only known to be so through ancient history. It is founded on beliefs that are premised on prophetic information. This thought, when considered in relation to victory over sin, provides a most beautiful consolation.
The word says that Christ, in looking at us, sees who we are to be and not who we are. In the parable of the coin that was buried under rubbish, the word says that the value of the coin was not diminished while it was so buried. The superscription it bore before its burial is the same that it had after it: the value was unchanged. Similar realizations can be reached when victory over sin is viewed through the lenses of prophecy. Victory over sin is the manner of living as Christ sees us living. It has our incarnate self as the “substance” and “evidence “of this process. I believe this understanding, if true, will yield positive results; for if we live always with our incarnate end in view, we will behave accordingly. Prophecy, according to this subject matter is seeing ourselves as Christ sees us: incarnate; and living with that end in view.
The work of a potter provides us with my very best example. When a potter sets down to work at a vessel, he does so with an end result in mind. Each touch and molding he does is toward allowing that mound of clay to be as he designs it to be. This end is prophetic and the submission of the clay to the process of molding is the prophetic belief we exercise when we believe what the word says about living a victorious life.
When applied to the line; we will see, under a different illustration, how the above information is typified. At the Time of the End God began His work at building the church triumphant according to the design He put to print during the period of darkness. Up to 9/11 He is at the task of quarrying the stones and doing the work preparatory to laying the foundation. At 9/11 the foundation is laid. From 2014 the building is advanced further with the addition of pillars and frames. By Midnight the fortifications of this structure is set up in the form of the streets and walls. But this final architecture began with the pattern or design God set to paper during the time of darkness. This pattern is prophetic in its nature because it tells of the structure to come and the work done towards its building is similar to us living the life of the sanctified and victorious.
When it is fully considered: sin, in all its forms, is inexcusable. The act of sinning is a matter of choice. Why not choose to live like an incarnate? Why not live according to the divine blueprint God has for the people of our reform line?
